HUPD : Crime Alert

Robbery Wednesday, March 2, 2016

On March 2, 2016, at approximately 1:51 a.m., two unidentified males, dressed in black and wearing hoodies, forcefully gained entry into a Hampton Harbors apartment. Once inside, one of the subjects presented a handgun and demanded the occupants to "shut up" while the second subject went directly to a rear bedroom. Several items, to include a cash box containing money, were taken from the rear bedroom. Both subjects then fled the apartment on-foot. An unknown male was seen walking fast toward a swamp area of the property after hearing what sounded like a gunshot and a girl screaming. Hampton University Police and Hampton Police officers canvassed the area. No suspects or witnesses were found. The victims were not physically harmed. This incident is currently being investigated by HUPD and the Hampton Police Division.
